"The Club" does what it can to organise dive holidays to exotic places... BUT even with 50 active members it is hard to get more than a few together at one time... As someone who has tried several times to do this, with about 50% success... I ask you all to consider this...

PLAN the time off work well in advance, let's all look at our diaries and select a week in. say, October, even before we know where we are going! If we have 15 people willing to travel we can then search for good destinations and deals. We can set a Budget to suit us all...

Many of you look for a "Divers Only" break in Feb/March and a "Family Holiday" later in the year. We have to note that taking children out of school is now much more difficult.. and travelling at half term increases budgets..

TRAVEL SECTION

By Mike Scott

The Club cannot resolve these issues.

I feel the club must concentrate on divers only trips when planning... Family can always come along if the destination is suitable!

At the first "Holiday Meeting" of 2003 we were joined by only 10 members of the Club... and they wanted to go to: Scilly Isles (4) Red Sea (2) Ireland (2) Scapa Flow (3) Vancouver (3) Anywhere at all (6).

Yes I know there's more than 10 votes there... some of us will go almost anywhere....

BUT there is no specific single destination that EVERYONE wants to go to!

Marsa Alam

Going 22nd April 2004 for one wek, prebooked shore dives (10 @ 2 per day). Top quality shore diving is assured. Pristine Reefs - a photographer's delight!

Let US Help YOU!

Are you planning a trip? Do you want more Club Members to join you? Tell us! We will e-mail the details and advertise the trip in the Newsletter... Here are 2 examples of trips already underway...

New Zealand Feb '05

Still under development but six going at present. Mike Scott Co-ordinating. This will be 10 to 14 days trip including flying time.

Support Your Club, your fellow Members, your sport.... You have worked hard to get Certified.. reap the benefits by enjoying your diving, and lots of it!

You have joined a Club that must rely on member's efforts and YOU CAN tip the balance, help others, and have fun too!
